Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos Olajide Adediran aka Jandor on Monday said he is not a fan of traditional gambling.
The 46-year-old tweeted that although he does not gamble, he would place a bet on himself anytime to succeed, noting that he is the “best investment” he could ever make.
“Investing has always been a passion of mine, but not just for the sake of personal gain, but also about creating a positive impact and leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come. I am a firm believer in the power of investing to create a better future,” Jandor said.
“Ultimately, my love for investing is rooted in a deep desire to make a difference in the world. I believe that by investing wisely and with purpose, I can help to create a brighter future for myself and for those around me. And that, to me, is the true meaning of success.”
The politician noted that when it comes to taking risks, many people find themselves hesitant or unwilling to put their money or trust on the line, adding however that he is always willing to bet on himself.
“So while I may not be a fan of traditional gambling, I will always be willing to bet on myself. Because when it comes down to it, I know that I am the best investment I could ever make,” Jandor wrote.
Last year, Jandor got 62,449 votes at the Lagos governorship poll which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu won by getting 762,134 votes. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party was the first runner-up with 312,329 votes followed by Jandor.
On January 12, the Supreme Court upheld Sanwo-Olu’s victory at the poll and dismissed Jandor and Rhodes-Vivour’s appeals.
