Singer Davido has vowed to reunite with his daughter Imade despite threats from the girl’s mother Sophia Momodu.
The 31-year-old made the promise in an Instagram story on Tuesday while celebrating his daughter’s birthday.
In his birthday message, Davido reassured Imade of his love for her and promised to see her soon.
He wrote: “Happy birthday to my first born child Imade Adeleke, just know Daddy loves you so much! And I will see you soon, I promise.”
Recall that in January 2024, Sophia threatened to take legal action against Davido over an alleged threat to her life, cyberbullying and harassment.
The businesswoman, through her lawyers, issued a cease and desist letter to Davido, accusing him of using defamatory remarks and sponsoring negative publications about her.
In the letter dated January 10, Sophia claimed that Davido has continued with his “disruptive and unlawful conduct” despite an ongoing investigation following a petition against him.
Sophia also stated that Davido’s behaviour and actions are “Impeding our efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution concerning the arrangements for the care and welfare of Imade which is of paramount importance.”
The concluding part of the letter read: “Please take note that unless your client discontinues the acts of threats, harassment and cyberbullying against our clients in the next 48 hours, our clients retain the rights to pursue all available legal remedies.”
Last year, after the news of Davido’s wedding to Chioma broke, Sophia made a cryptic post on Instagram. The ex-lovers also clashed on social media when Sopha made a post saying that financially bullying a woman into staying with a man is the most disgusting thing a man can do.
Sophia posted a clip of a cat fighting with a dog, stating that she has “never seen a cat take rubbish from a dog.”
