Gboyega Soyannwo, deputy chief of staff to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will be buried on Thursday, May 23.
Mr Soyannwo died on May 15 after a brief illness. He was aged 55.
According to the funeral plan seen on Sunday, the night of tributes will start at 4pm on Tuesday, May 21 at the governor’s office, Alausa, Ikeja.
The service of songs will begin at 5pm on Wednesday, May 22 at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Funeral service will kick off at 10am on May 23 at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, Victoria Island.
Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat recently paid a visit to the bereaved family.
Mourning Soyannwo, Mr Sanwo-Olu said in a social media post that he was a brother and confidante to him, adding that his dedication to the state would not be forgotten.
“I am devastated by Gboyega’s sudden departure and I’m deeply affected by this news,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“Gboyega was not only my Deputy Chief of Staff by title; he was a brother to me, an armour-bearer, a confidante and a faithful believer in our collective dream of a Greater Lagos.”
Soyannwo is survived by his wife Yewande and two children.
