Socialite Shade Okoya has shared videos of the wedding of Farida Demola-Seriki, daughter of Nigeria’s former ambassador to Spain late Demola Seriki, to Olaolu Oyefolu.
Anchored by comedian Tee A, the wedding and reception took place in Lagos over the weekend.
Mrs Okoya’s Instagram post on Monday showed the bride and groom’s families posing for photos.
“Celebrating Love between Farida and Olaolu. Congratulations to the entire Ademola-Seriki/Okoya and the Oyefolu’s families,” she captioned her post.
The bride’s mother Wosilat Okoya-Seriki was all smiles at the event.
Among those who attended the reception are Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland and co-founder of Eko Hospital, Sonny Kuku; chairman/chief executive officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa; general overseer of the Love of Christ Generation (C & S) Church, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi; business mogul, Olu Okeowo; and industrialist Samuel Adedoyin.
Farida aka Kah-Lo was nominated for the Grammy Award in 2016.
The alumnus of Hofstra Journalism in the United States was nominated for Best Dance Recording for the song ‘Rinse & Repeat’ by DJ Riton featuring Kah-Lo.
Seriki died in Madrid, Spain in active service on December 15, 2022, aged 63.
