Company secretary/head of legal (West Africa) at Cadbury Nigeria Plc Fola Akande on Monday clocked 60.
Celebrating her on social media, former chairperson of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ibukun Awosika wrote, “Happy 60th birthday to my dearest friend and sister, Mrs Fola Akande, company secretary/ head of legal( west Africa) Cadbury Nigeria Plc.
“You are an astute, most competent, reliable professional of the highest order, a most diligent mother to your amazing children, as a wife, your pedigree of good upbringing and faith could not be faulted. You are indeed a trusted and faithful friend. May the Lord honour you as you celebrate this milestone. You will definitely receive your reward for your labour of love over the years. Have a joy filled day. Love you lots.”
In February, the company said in a statement signed by its human resources director, Wole Odubayo, that Akande would retire on June 17, 2024.
“The Board of Cadbury Nigeria Plc (the Company) wishes to inform the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the investing public and other stakeholders, of the retirement of Fola Akande as the company secretary of Cadbury Nigeria Plc from June 17, 2024,” the statement said.
Odubayo further said the board of the company appreciates Akande’s committed service and wishes her success in her future endeavours.
