Actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie has posted a touching video on her Instagram page, featuring her and younger colleague Regina Daniels.
The video has captured the hearts of many, showcasing an emotional moment between the two actresses.
In the video shared on Friday, June 21, Regina is seen wearing Mercy’s wedding gown made 13 years ago, while Mercy helps her arrange the dress.
Regina excitedly says, “Can you see? I’m wearing mommy’s dress from 13 years ago,” pulling Mercy close. Addressing Mercy’s daughter, she adds, “Purity, see, I wore it before you.”
Mercy, visibly moved, looks at Regina with admiration, placing her right hand on her chest and saying, “You look so precious, like I’m getting emotional.” Regina responds warmly, “Thank you, ma.”
The older actress proudly remarks, “When my child wears my gown from 13 years ago,” before the two actresses embrace affectionately. Mercy concludes the heartfelt moment by pecking Regina on the cheek.
The video was taken during the shooting of Mercy’s film titled Ejiro’s Wish which premieres on June 21 on Mercy’s YouTube channel. The film directed by Vincent Nwachukwu features Regina, Uzee Usman, Tony Goodman, and Ifeanyi Oleka.
This touching video contrasts sharply with a recent controversy. Last month, actress Angela Okorie accused Mercy Johnson of being a witch, saying, “Person wey everybody dey call witch una say wetin?” Angela also described Mercy as “dark, very dark,” urging everyone to pray for Nollywood.
Mercy did not respond to the outburst.
Despite Angela’s statement, Mercy’s video with Regina showcases the warmth and camaraderie within the Nollywood community, reminding fans of the genuine connections that exist beyond the drama.
