Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has met with former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Ighalo, who plays for Al Wehda, has been in Nigeria since the end of the football season in Saudi Arabia.
Egbetokun presented gifts to Ighalo and received a jersey from the 35-year-old, according to the footballer’s social media post.
Spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force Olumuyiwa Adejobi was also at the meeting.
Hinting the general public about the development, Ighalo said on social media that it was a privilege to have met the police boss and spokesman.
“A privilege to meet with the Inspector General Of The Nigeria Police Force, IGP Kayode Egbetokun And FPRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi. Thank you for the warm reception and the gifts,” he wrote.
Ighalo also recently met Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International in Abuja.
