Skit maker and comedian Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has put his unique spin on D’banj’s latest song ‘Koko.’
D’banj shared a video of himself and Broda Shaggi performing the song together on Instagram on Tuesday morning.
“During rehearsal, investor @brodashaggi stopped by and gave us his own Koko cover oh Lee Templers, what can’t Shaggi do? oooooSHeeeeee,” D’banj captioned the post.
In the clip, Broda Shaggi sings with intense emotion, repeatedly chanting, “Koko ahh Koko.”
The video shows both entertainers in a studio holding microphones as D’banj introduces Broda Shaggi, saying, “In case you can’t hear, this is Broda Shaggi.”
Dressed in a funny costume, the skit maker passionately sings his heart out, even attempting riffs and runs to showcase his musical abilities.
The video ends humorously with D’banj praising Broda Shaggi.
Musician CDQ commented on the video, saying, “Shaggi is not a comedian; he’s a co-madman.” A fan humorously requested Broda Shaggi’s outfit, noting, “Shaggi, you don leave your suit abi coat again dey wear agbada.”
Other fans joined in, hailing the skit maker’s performance.
D’banj celebrated 20 years on stage with a dinner at Knowhere Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos in June.
He also hosted a free concert for fans at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos.
