Actress Eniola Ajao has welcomed controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, from Kirikiri correctional facility in Lagos.
Videos trending on social media on Monday show the actress alongside her colleague Moyo Lawal with Bobrisky in a car.
The actresses went to the facility to pick up Bobrisky after he served a six-month jail term for abusing the naira.
In one video, Eniola spoke briefly about her excitement on her friend’s freedom.
Last Monday, Moyo made a social media post, counting down to the crossdresser’s release. “The countdown is already on for the original bestie @bobrisky222,” she wrote.
Bobrisky was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on March 24 for spraying naira notes at the premiere of Ajakaju: Beast of Two Worlds, produced by Eniola. The online personality was awarded ‘Best Dressed Female’ at the premiere, sparking outrage in the industry.
He was arraigned at the Lagos State High Court on a four-count charge.
On April 12, Justice Abimbola Awogboro sentenced Bobrisky, who calls himself Mummy of Lagos, to six months in prison.
