Singer Peter Okoye, known professionally as Mr. P, has addressed his fans amid the ongoing feud with his twin brother Paul Okoye also known as Rudeboy.
Mr. P, on Tuesday night, posted a picture of himself on stage on Instagram and pleaded with his fans to be patient, signalling the rebirth of his solo career.
He wrote, “Diamonds, they say, are forever. Dear Mr. P’s fans, please be patient.”
Last week, QEDNG reported that Rudeboy disclosed in an interview with City FM that Peter petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against him and their elder brother Jude Okoye.
“This year, I was invited by the EFCC after they received a petition against me from my twin brother. I never thought it (our beef) would get to this extent. I thought it was just music,” Rudeboy said.
He also mentioned that he and his brother have parted ways again, adding that Mr. P requested they don’t make the split public.
His revelation led to politician Joe Igbokwe criticising members of the Okoye family.
He also inquired if they have no elders to settle the dispute between the brothers, attracting backlash from Rudeboy.
Mr P and Rudeboy, known collectively as P-Square, first fell out in 2017 and pursued solo careers. They reconciled in 2021 and released a two-track EP in 2022.
