Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, the stepbrother of gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, widely known as Aduke Gold, has revealed details of her funeral arrangements.
A clip from an interview with Gbeborun9ja shared on Instagram on Wednesday reveals Pastor Aderogbo discussing his close relationship with the late singer.
“I’m her elder brother and like a father to her because we share the same father but have different mothers. I began taking care of her in 1993 after the death of our father,” he said.
He went on to share the family’s plans for her burial, saying, “We held a family meeting and decided that the burial would take place on the 23rd of August, with several outlined programmes. On the 21st, there will be a candlelight vigil.”
Aduke was born in 1990 in Ilesha, Osun State.
When she began her music career, many called her Aduke Penkele because of how slim she was.
She earned a degree in history and international relations from Lagos State University, higher degree in child psychology, diploma in montessori education among others.
