Jude Okoye, elder brother and former manager of the musical duo Peter and Paul Okoye (P-Square), has hinted he would soon be telling his side of the story regarding the group’s latest split and allegations levelled against him.
Tensions between the Okoye brothers rose recently when Paul, popularly known as Rudeboy, accused his twin brother Peter (Mr P) of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against him.
However, Mr. P refuted the claims on August 12, saying the petition was actually against Jude over allegations of fraudulently diverting money belonging to P-Square’s Northside Entertainment to another entity, Northside Music.
Amid the controversy, Jude said on Instagram that he would be addressing the issues surrounding the P-Square breakup, the alleged secret company, and the EFCC at 7 pm on Saturday.
His post, which was captioned “Been silent for too long,” ignited a flurry of reactions from Nigerians who voiced their disapproval in the comments.
Emir Ofest, wrote, “We don’t want to hear your story, until you become an elder and a leader. The only story we want to hear is that you have settled and brought P-Square back together, if not, stay silent.”
Another, Ifechukwu Ifechukwu, added, “Shameless elder brother, tueh! Your parents would be so ashamed of you wherever they are. Oya come and wash your dirty linen in public.”
Chika Ngwu also commented, “You are an elder brother Jude, call your brothers together and make peace. Forget the long talk.”
Damola David simply stated, “Not interested.”
Jude’s decision to go public comes after former presidential candidate Peter Obi met all three brothers during the week.
