Actress Shan George has said she is having difficulty in breathing after allegedly sprayed with tear gas by the security staff of clothing brand, Ashluxe.
The incident was first brought to light by fellow actress Carolyna Hutchings on Sunday, who called out the clothing brand on Instagram after its security allegedly used tear gas on her and Shan George.
Carolyna explained that the confrontation occurred when she parked her car in front of Ashluxe building, waiting for an Uber ride.
Shan George took to Instagram on Monday to share a video where she expressed her worsening condition.
She disclosed that her vision has been deteriorating, and she has been struggling to breathe properly since the incident.
Despite her plight, Shan lamented that those responsible have not shown any sympathy.
“Today is Monday the 19th, and I am losing my eyes. I still can’t breathe well, and I am on medication. Those who did this haven’t even said a word, not even to sympathise.
“I’m just making this video as an update in case anything happens to me,” she said.
Shan had earlier shared a video on Sunday with her eyes filled with tears, insisting they were not from crying but from the lingering effects of the tear gas attack.
“I tried to go to church, but I couldn’t because of my eyes. Not because I am crying, but tears just won’t stop since yesterday. I will clean it, but it keeps coming back.”
Carolyna Hutchings also shared a post on Instagram criticising Olayinka Ashogbon, managing director of Ashluxe. She accused him of lacking “empathy” and “regards” especially towards women.
She expressed her disappointment, stating that the company had not reached out to the victims or taken any action against the security personnel involved.
