Businessman Muhammadu Indimi has said he is ready to spend any amount of money to keep Jaiz Bank flourishing.
Indimi is a major shareholder in the bank and one of its non-executive directors.
He made the statement shortly after the foundation laying ceremony of Jaiz Bank’s new branch office which coincided with the celebration of his 77th birthday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He said, “I am trying to see that I leave good legacies for my people, and one of the legacies is the growth of this bank. We travelled all over the world to understand the operations of the non-interest module before the bank was birthed, and I am ready to spend anything to see the bank prospers.”
Also, Jaiz Bank’s board chairman Mohammed Bintube said the bank’s performance had improved tremendously following the recruitment of a new chief executive and executive directors.
Bintube said, “In terms of our contribution to the economy, our bank’s statement, which we have made available to the public, is to see that we have invested in top sectors like agriculture, manufacturing and general commerce.”
The bank’s managing director/chief executive Haruna Musa said, “The banks’ presence will be beneficial to the people of Borno because we are going to support the communities immensely.”
