Programme manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office Funmi Olotu has assumed her duties.
Ms Olotu, on Monday, met members of staff of the office in Abuja, stating on social media her readiness to work.
“I resumed office today and had the pleasure of meeting some of my staff. I was introduced to every department and understood the crucial role each one plays in our mission,” she captioned her Instagram post.
“In line with the mandate given by Mr President to coordinate and manage social safety nets aimed at reducing poverty and vulnerability in Nigeria, our collective efforts will focus on ensuring that every household in need is identified and supported.”
Olotu added that she was ready to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable and achieve the impactful goals of the office.
Olotu holds a master’s degree in business administration.
Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale announced her appointment and those of others under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development on August 6.
He said the appointments were made to facilitate the needed relief to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes.
