Filmmaker Bolanle Austen-Peters on Friday unveiled her film village known as BAP Film Village.
The 55-year-old said the over 10,000-acre film village is located in the Epe area of Lagos, revealing that her epic movie House of Ga’a was shot there.
A video she shared on social media showed how the location was developed for the purpose of moviemaking.
Bolanle said the film village is open for business to filmmakers and for excursions.
“So many have asked where we shot House of GA’A,” she wrote, “This is it! BAP Productions Film Village in Epe. Over 10,000 acres of land, rolling hills, huts, and other facilities. Open for biz to film makers and excursions.”
Bolanle joins the list of elite filmmakers like Kunle Afolayan and Ibrahim Chatta who own film villages.
Kunle’s establishment, KAP Film Village Studio and Resort, is located in Igbojaye, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The village is the location for the Anikulapo series.
Also, Ibrahim’s film village is located in Oyo State. The filmmaker, who stars in Bolanle’s House of Ga’a as Sasa, the notorious black magic master, is reported to have invested about N1.4 billion into the construction of the film village.
