Music video director TG Omori has shared an update on his health, expressing gratitude to Nigerians for their support during his challenging times.
Taking to X on Friday, the cinematographer thanked everyone who offered prayers and well wishes, revealing that he is on the path to recovery.
Omori wrote, “Up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip.) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.
“I’m healing now from the stitches of the failed one, but I’ll continue the fight. I’ve been battling this for the past year or two, and I’m not backing down now.”
He added, “Love y’all so much. Can’t wait to make new, crowded music videos for y’all.”
Omori’s message of appreciation comes after he disclosed on Tuesday that he has been battling a kidney ailment, revealing that his brother donated a kidney to save him.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday, he shared the news that the kidney transplant had failed, urging Nigerians to pray for him.
Since then, numerous celebrities and fans have rallied behind him, offering their prayers and support.
Afrobeat star Davido, along with actors Deyemi Okanlawon, Femi Branch, and Kunle Afolayan, have all expressed their hopes for Omori’s quick recovery.
