Chidimma Adetshina, the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, has expressed her appreciation to everyone who supported her throughout her journey, while also unveiling her vision for her reign.

The model and beauty queen expressed how honoured she is to have been bestowed with this prestigious title, outlining her aspirations for fostering unity across Africa.
“What an incredible journey this has been,” she began.
“Standing here as Miss Universe Nigeria is a dream come true, and I am deeply honoured and humbled to wear this crown.”
Adetshina dedicated her victory to God, acknowledging His role as her source of strength through trials and triumphs. “Without His grace, I wouldn’t be standing here today. I am forever grateful.”
She also paid tribute to her fellow contestants, saying, “To my fellow queens, the beautiful and strong ladies who have graced this competition with me, I love you all. This crown represents all of us as queens.”
As she takes on this new role, the 22-year-old shared a vision that she says burns deeply within her—a vision of African unity and peaceful coexistence.
“Let’s break down the barriers that divide us,” she urged. “Let’s foster a continent where every African can move freely without prejudice, pursue their dreams, and contribute to the growth and prosperity of our great continent.”

Chidimma Adetshina was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 on Saturday, emerging victorious over 24 other contestants.
The top three winners included Miss Ondo, who earned the title of Miss Lush, and Miss Anambra, who was named the first runner-up and crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria.
Adetshina will now go on to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
