Singer Dammy Krane has offered a seemingly sarcastic apology to his colleague Davido, following his recent release from police custody.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Krane shared a video of Davido crying and begging, though the post has since been deleted.
He captioned the post, “Please @davido, I’m begging. I’m on my knees.”
The apology, laced with subtle shade, comes after Krane accused the DMW boss of having a role in his recent arrest, which stemmed from allegations surrounding the death of Tagbo, a former assistant of Davido.
Dammy Krane was arrested on August 22 and detained at the Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja for alleged criminal activities.
Activist VeryDarkMan had publicly appealed to Davido, urging him not to use his influence to keep Krane in custody.
Shortly after the activist’s appeal, a video emerged announcing Krane’s release.
However, VeryDarkMan later withdrew his support, stating he had “washed his hands” of the singer after Krane refused to issue a sincere apology to Davido.
While Krane has now issued an apology, many fans speculate it might be more of a subtle jab at Davido rather than a genuine expression of remorse.
