Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy and one half of the now-defunct music group Psquare, has confirmed that there will never be a reunion with his twin brother, Peter Okoye.
During an Instagram Live session on Wednesday morning, Paul hinted at deep-seated frustrations from their past collaboration, criticising Peter for what he described as an uneven dynamic in their partnership.
Paul expressed his discontent, saying, “The new me, eh, those days when the monkey works and the baboon eats, I’m not doing that anymore.
“I’d rather work for myself. I was always the one singing all the songs, and I won’t do that again.”
His remarks dashed the hopes of fans who had been anticipating a reconciliation between the brothers.
In a candid interview earlier in August, Paul revisited the fallout, recalling an incident in December 2023, when he, along with their older brother Jude Okoye, was reportedly arrested following a petition filed by Peter.
Paul clarified that after an investigation, he was cleared of any allegations.
Peter however refuted Paul’s claims, stating that his petition was aimed solely at their elder brother, Jude, accusing him of diverting funds into a secret account with his wife.
He maintained that his intentions were never to target Paul but expressed his disappointment that instead of supporting him, Paul sided with Jude.
Peter also revealed that the ongoing feud was fueled by Paul’s disrespect towards him, his family, and his creative ideas, which further deepened the rift between the once inseparable duo.
