PROFILE: Meet new chairman of Keystone Bank Ada Chukwudozie

Businesswoman Ada Chukwudozie has been named chairman of Keystone Bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The bank announced her appointment in a statement on Wednesday.

In January, the CBN dissolved the board and management of three banks — Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank.

According to a press release dated January 10, 2024, the decision was driven by the banks’ failure to comply with key regulatory requirements, corporate governance lapses, and activities that posed a risk to financial stability.

Mrs Chukwudozie’s appointment and those of other board members comes months after the CBN wielded the big stick.
