Lateef Adedimeji, Mo Bimpe visit Ogun ahead of Lisabi premiere

Actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji and his wife Mo Bimpe have paid a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun ahead of the premiere of the movie Lisabi: The Uprising.

Lateef shared photos from the visit on social media on Thursday, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception.

He stated that it was a great feeling to return to his home state, and he was thrilled with the support the project was receiving from the Ogun State Government.

“I am deeply humbled to have been warmly received by the number one citizen of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun @dapoabiodunmfr. My wife @mo_bimpe and I felt truly welcome, and it’s so great to be home,” he wrote.

Lateef also praised Abiodun for his commitment to youth empowerment and innovation, noting the importance of initiatives like the Lisabi project in developing the talents and skill of Ogun State indigenes.

He announced that the film would be available for streaming on Netflix after the premiere in Ogun.

Also, the governor expressed delight at hosting the couple, describing the visit as an honour.

He praised the actor for his passion in showcasing Ogun State’s cultural history through the film Lisabi, which centres around the legendary Egba warrior.

“We were honoured to host actor and filmmaker @TheDimejiLateef, alongside his wife, @Mobimpeoyebade, as he prepares for the premiere of his historical movie Lisabi in Ogun State. The film celebrates the legacy of Lisabi, a legendary Egbaland warrior. We extend our full support and wish him continued success as a proud ambassador of Ogun State,” Abiodun wrote on social media.
