Actor Saidi Balogun has attended the funeral service of gospel singer Dele Gold, which took place at his residence in Abule Egba, Lagos.

The ceremony held on Thursday, brought together an emotional crowd paying their last respects to the beloved Miliki gospel artiste.

Dele Gold passed away on September 11 after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of music, faith and generosity.

The service began with the arrival of the deceased in a white coffin accompanied by his wife, children, and close family members.

A laying-in-state ceremony followed, as attendees shared heartfelt tributes emphasising his kindness and selflessness.

The officiating cleric spoke warmly of Dele Gold’s unwavering commitment to his faith and ministry, revealing that the singer never charged for performances at churches, choosing instead to serve God through his music.

“Dele Gold made an impact with God. He never accepted payment from churches; he gave freely, using his talent to honor God,” the cleric shared, urging those in attendance to live lives of service and purpose.

Prayers were offered for his wife and children, with the cleric encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith during this difficult time.

As the ceremony concluded, family and friends bid their final farewells as Dele Gold was laid to rest at his home.

Among the notable attendees were prophet Genesis and musicians Wale Dada and Femi Solar.

Originally from Usi, Ekiti State, Dele Gold spent his early years in Faforiji, Osun State.
