Actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele has publicly addressed a female colleague whom he accuses of spreading false rumours about him.

In a post shared on his Instagram Story on Saturday, the Kesari actor expressed his disappointment over the gossip, stating that he had noticed negative conversations surrounding his name.

According to Itele, the source of these rumours appears to be a fellow industry professional.

He questioned the motives behind the gossip, emphasising that he had never wronged this colleague.

Itele highlighted that they work in different capacities within the industry and that he has put in significant effort to achieve his current status.

The actor appealed to his colleague to cease the harmful rumours, stressing that such actions are not only unnecessary but also hurtful.

He further noted that attempting to create rifts between people who care about one another only reflects the insecurities of those spreading the gossip, rather than the truth of the matter.

“Dear female colleague, I want to address something that’s been bothering me. I’ve noticed some gossip about me, and it seems to be coming from you.

“I don’t understand why this is happening, as I have never done anything to offend you. We work in different roles, and I worked so hard to be here, Anu mi Mori gba. I kindly ask that you stop these negative talks, as they are unnecessary and hurtful! Thank you for understanding,” he wrote.

He added, “Spreading gossip to create division between people who love each other reveals more about their own insecurities than the truth of those they speak about. True strength lies in building bridges, not burning them.”
