Former deputy gov Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire is a pride of Awori kingdom — Oba Elegushi

Elegushi of Ikateland Oba Saheed Elegushi has described the former deputy governor of Lagos State Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as the pride of Awori kingdom.

Mrs Orelope-Adefulire was deputy governor of Lagos State from 2011 to 2015 during the administration of Governor Babatunde Fashola.

Prior to that, she was the commissioner for women affairs and poverty alleviation of Lagos State from 2003 to 2011.

Oba Elegushi, in a birthday message to her on Sunday posted on social media as she clocks 65, also labelled her an outstanding public servant.

“Happy 65th birthday to my dear sister, a pride of Awori kingdom and an outstanding public servant, former Deputy Governor and Senior Special Assistant to the President, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. Have my best wishes, my dear sister,” he wrote.

Orelope-Adefulire was senior special assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on sustainable development goals (SDGs).
