Actress Debbie Shokoya has issued a stern warning to fans, advicing them not to offer unsolicited advice about her private life.
This came after a fan reached out to her with concerns about Debbie referring to herself as “Mommy K.”
Taking to her Instagram on Monday, the actress shared a screenshot of her conversation with the fan and cautioned others against sending her “stupid opinions” via private messages.
However, she noted that feedback on her work as an actress is always welcome.
In the chat, the fan adviced Debbie against using the nickname “Mommy K,” stating that names carry significant power and can influence a child’s life.
The fan further explained, “While it may seem cute, I encourage you to consider the deeper meaning behind names and their impact on a child’s destiny and self-esteem.”
In response, Shokoya captioned her post with a blunt message:
“Don’t let your opinion make you look stupid‼️
Minding your business is something a lot of people should learn…
“I have been nice enough and I have avoided this nonsense a lot!! Focus on my profession and leave my personal life🤦♀️ Keep your advice to yourself!! I have family, loved ones, and friends who will advice me if needed!! Don’t come acting like you know too much!! Go to your f**ng family house‼️ Advise The Young And Old There👍
“NB: This Is A Serious Warning.”

This comes shortly after Debbie welcomed her first child, a baby girl, last month. During the naming ceremony, held a week after the birth, she revealed her daughter’s name to be Khairat Ayokunmi Ejalonibu. In the Instagram post announcing the name, Shokoya referred to herself as “Mommy K,” sparking the unsolicited advice from the fan.
