President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja on Wednesday for the United Kingdom to begin his annual two-week leave.
The president “will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” according to a statement by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement said Tinubu would return to the country after the leave expires.
On Tuesday, Tinubu gave his second Independence Day anniversary speech as Nigeria’s president.
He said his administration would introduce a 30-day conference aimed at addressing challenges faced by young people.
The president said the modalities of the conference and selection of delegates would be designed as soon as possible.
