Media personality Reno Omokri has shared a photo of himself on social media with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Mr Omokri shared the photo on Thursday, stating that it was taken on Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary on October 1.
“Spending Independence Day with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa. May God bless Nigeria,” he captioned the post.
Omokri, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been very defensive of Tinubu on social media and also critical of former presidential candidate Peter Obi.
His meeting with Tinubu, whom he earlier referred to as a “drug lord,” has stirred debates on social media.
Omokri also shared a video of his visit to his former boss ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. He said he came to pay him homage, describing him as the best leader Nigeria has ever had.
“Paying Homage To My Boss and Leader, President Jonathan,” he wrote.
Omokri was Jonathan’s special assistant on new media while the latter was at the villa.
