General overseer of The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Prophet Odumeje, has revealed that he got involved in armed robbery at age 14.
The controversial cleric said in a video making the rounds that his involvement in robbery stemmed from a dangerous street in Onitsha, Anambra where he grew up.
Odumeje added that his life changed through the help of his mother who led him to Christ and helped him find salvation.
“I was born in Onitsha city. No 3, Nnewi Street. And I grew up in a dangerous street. I became an armed robber at the age of 14,” he said.
“I became a terrorist until Jesus Christ arrested me through the help of my mother to change my life… a destroyer became a saviour.”
Last month, a video of Odumeje threatening to kill his critics on social media went viral.
The 42-year-old said that instead of reporting to the authorities he would use spiritual powers to deal with opposition.
“I tell people I don’t call the police for enemies,” he said, “when you come out for me on social media, speak against me once, I watch you, look at the weight of your speaking. You talk a second time, I watch you. The third time, I watch you. Then I see it is no more a joke; it has become a challenge.
“The fourth time, then you speak, I look it again, I say this is a battlefield you set for me. You want to see power. The fifth time, I know you’re ready for me. Then I will prepare myself, bring down all the alter of power. Then I bring down Santus Sanitoria, bring down Citadel. If I don’t kill you, know that Jesus is not a true God.”
