General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has appointed Prof. Toyin Ogundipe as the pro-chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun.
Ogundipe, the immediate past vice-chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), replaces Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi.
A spokesperson for the university Adetunji Adeleye announced the development in a statement on Monday.
Born on May 31, 1960, Ogundipe joined UNILAG in 1990 and rose to the rank of a professor in 2002.
He held different administrative positions before he was appointed as the vice-chancellor on November 2017. He completed his five-year tenure in November 2022.
Also on the governing council are Prof. Shadrach Akindele, Prof. Ahmed Yerima, Prof. Olalere Adeyemi and Prof. Christian Happi among others.
