Actress Toyin Abraham has given an update on TikToker Afeez Ojesanmi popularly known as Oloba Salo who was recently robbed and shot in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
During a live TikTok session with social media influencer Nelson Appy, Toyin revealed that Salo’s medical expenses have surpassed N12 million.
The video of their conversation went viral on Tuesday.
The actress explained that the bills were largely covered through donations from Salo’s colleagues and friends.
“Salo’s hospital bill has exceeded 12 million naira. His condition was critical. People like Zlatan, Abu Abel, Sula, and others helped raise the money,” she said.
In another TikTok live session with actress Faithia Balogun, Toyin recounted how she learnt about Salo’s accident and rushed to the hospital where she found him in a dire state.
“I initially thought it was a prank or a joke until I contacted his friend. When I saw him, he was already cold.
“He was gone. He didn’t know what he was doing anymore,” she said in Yoruba.
Toyin continued, “I was so shaken, I almost stripped myself. I couldn’t hold back my tears, saying ‘This boy can’t die like this.'”
She praised the hospital’s staff for their efforts, noting that Salo received multiple blood transfusions.
The actress also expressed disappointment at social media users who underestimated the severity of the incident.
On October 11, the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that Oloba Salo was shot in the leg during a robbery in Lekki.
The attack occurred on October 10.
Salo’s friend and fellow TikToker Tunde Perry raised the alarm on social media.
“They shot Salo in the leg and took his gold chain. Some boys rushed him to the hospital, and I’ve just been there,” Perry said.
A video circulating online showed Salo’s white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz stained with blood with a bullet casing found on the driver’s seat.
