Gospel singer Dare Melody has announced the death of his wife Adedoyin Odunuga.
A post on Dare’s Instagram page said she died on Thursday morning.
“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the transition to eternal rest of our beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend (Mrs. Adedoyin Odunuga, nee Odagi), who passed away early this morning today 24th of October 2024,” the post read.
“RIP. You will forever be in our hearts.”
The cause of her death was not immediately clear.
Tributes and condolences have since poured in from the gospel music community and fans alike.
Laolu Gbenga wrote, “Omg, the Lord comfort you.”
Rotimi Onimole added, “Omg. Please accept my condolences. May her soul rest in peace.”
Bukola Oreofe commented, “Jesus! May her soul rest in peace.”
Oluwakemi Oyetayo shared, “Accept my condolences, please.”
Dare Melody and Adedoyin tied the knot in 2017 at Ikoyi Registry after being together for 16 years.
Their traditional wedding ceremony was attended by many of Dare’s contemporaries in gospel music.
In 2023, the gospel artiste gave his wife a house in celebration of her 45th birthday.
Together, they have three children.
