How Bobrisky was removed from London-bound plane after taking pictures with Fayose’s brother

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday night stopped crossdresser Bobrisky from leaving the country for London.

The incident occurred at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

Fresh from his release on bail by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in the Alagbon area of Lagos after being stopped from leaving the country by land at Seme Border, the crossdresser was set for London when EFCC operatives forced him out of the aircraft.

This happened after Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, shared photos of himself with Bobrisky at the airport.

“See who is on the same flight with me to London,” he wrote.

Internet personality Kelechi Anyikude witnessed the incident between Bobrisky and the EFCC.

“Looks like Bobrisky has been taken off our flight o. Nobody just know wetin Dey happen. Can we depart already? Drama,” Anyikude wrote on X.

Shortly afterwards, Bobrisky updated his Instagram followers, alleging he was injured in the process.

“Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured,” he wrote.

Bobrisky’s troubles began months earlier. In April 2024, the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced him to six months in prison for naira abuse.

Although he was initially sent to Kirikiri Prison, reports alleged he was there for only weeks before being discreetly transferred to a private location. A government panel has since debunked the reports.

In late September, the controversy intensified when social media influencer VeryDarkMan shared an alleged audio recording involving Bobrisky.

The recording claimed Bobrisky accused music artiste Falz and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, of soliciting N10 million to secure a presidential pardon for him.

In response, Falana and Falz sent Bobrisky a cease-and-desist letter on October 16, 2024, demanding a retraction and public apology for what they called defamatory remarks.

However, Bobrisky denied making these statements, asserting that the leak was unauthorised, blaming VeryDarkMan.

The saga took another turn on October 22 when Bobrisky was intercepted at the Sème Border while attempting to leave the country.
