Sade Adenuga, daughter of the chairman of Globacom Mike Adenuga, on Saturday revealed that her father came through for her when she had no venue for her wedding.
Sade got married at a traditional ceremony to Adebola Ogunsanya, son of the late Ademefun Ogunsanya and Mrs Idera Ogunsanya of Ikorodu kingdom, on October 26 in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The event had government officials, politicians and businesspeople among others in attendance.
In an Instagram post, Sade recalled how her father calmed her nerves by providing a location for the wedding within a short time.
“Most people experience my dad as just Chairman but I hope through this you get to see him as Super Dad,” she wrote.
“2 months ago, I called him frantically as I didn’t have a wedding venue but with his unwavering heart, he swung into action immediately and handed over the keys to his vacant property.
“Within just a few hours, he had assembled a formidable team, transforming it into an event centre for us over night.
“Every detail mattered to him; nothing was too big or small. He reminded me every step of the way that God was with me, filling my heart with peace, calm and gratitude.”
Sade also praised her big sister Bella Disu, describing her as her rock.
“My sister, my rock, a Godsend, took on this journey as her own,” Sade wrote.
“She poured herself into every detail, every arrangement, working tirelessly, right into the morning of the wedding, to ensure it was all seamless.
“Without her strength, devotion and kindness, this would not have been possible. There can only be one Madam Bella.”
Dubbed the darling of the house, Sade graduated with a degree in law from the United Kingdom in 2015 and was gifted a Range Rover by her father. She is the group executive director of MA Group and founder of QuickLaw.
