Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi, chairman of UBA Group Tony Elumelu and a host of others graced the special sendoff ceremony of the former managing director and chief executive officer of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Adesola Adeduntan.
The event, held on Saturday at Harbour Point Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, was organised by the bank to honour Adeduntan.
Adeduntan announced his resignation with immediate effect in April, eight months before his nine-year tenure expires on December 31, 2024.
Also among the attendees were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Daisy Danjuma, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Florence Ajimobi, Dele Momodu among others.
In his speech, Sanwo-Olu thanked Adeduntan for his service, stating that they were times the latter called him personally to ensure the bank was meeting the state government’s fiscal need.
The event was anchored by Mojibade Sosanya and Kenny Blaq.
