Actor Femi Adebayo’s Jagun Jagun has bagged three awards at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The 20th edition of the awards was held on Saturday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Lagos hosted by actors Segun Arinze and Joselyn Dumas.
Jagun Jagun, a historical epic by Femi Adebayo, was initially nominated in seven categories: Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Costume Design, Achievement in Production Design, Achievement in Makeup, Achievement in Visual Effects, the NFVCB award for Best Nigerian Film, and the Ousmane Sembene award for Best Film in an African Language.
The film ultimately clinched three awards: Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Makeup and Achievement in Visual Effects.
The AMAA event attracted a star-studded lineup, including Jackie Appiah, Fred Amata, Rita Dominic, Segun Arinze, Charles Nnojie, Keppy Ekpenyong and Chinedu Ikedieze.
