Prince Tadenikawo, son of Evangelist Naomi Silekunola and the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, stole the show on Sunday at the night of praise held as part of ceremonies to open the Ooni’s Ojaja Park in Akure, Ondo State capital.
Silekunola took her son Tadenikawo to the event which was attended by some of the monarch’s wives which he married after Silekunola left him in December 2021.
Tadenikawo was the centre of attraction at the event as the king’s wives and other monarchs danced with him.
The prince received cash gifts from well-wishers.
Ojaja Park has a five-star hotel, game centre, children’s park, shopping mall, school and residential estates.
Speaking with journalists recently after a tour of the park, Oba Ogunwusi said his idea was to model something that has never been done in Nigeria.
The Ooni said he constructed the smart city from homemade goods.
According to him: “We have a mall here that basically let us be very proud of our home. This is the only way we can grow the economy. We don’t need to leave government to do everything and this is the why I invited General Abdusalam Abubakar and Bishop Mathew Kukah to come and bless this place, because they believe in peace, and they believe in youth engagement, because for us here, it’s all about youth engagement and I believe Nigeria will be a better place.”
