Army announces two-day rites for Lagbaja’s burial

The Nigerian Army has announced plans for the burial of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Taoreed Lagbaja.

Army spokesperson Onyema Nwachukwu shared the details in a post on X on Tuesday.

He said the service of songs will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Army Headquarters Garrison Parade Ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the National Christian Centre in Abuja’s Central Business District, followed by the final interment at the National Military Cemetery from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. the same day.
