Lola Omotayo, wife of Peter Okoye better known as Mr P has shared a birthday message dedicated solely to her husband, omitting any mention of his twin brother, Paul Okoye.
In the message posted on Peter’s 43rd birthday on Instagram on Monday, Lola praised him for his resilience and strength writing, “Happy Birthday Peter. I am wishing you good health, long life, wisdom, God’s favour in all that you do, happiness and peace of mind.”
She commended Peter’s determination in the face of challenges, describing him as an inspiration for overcoming adversity. “No matter what life throws your way, you always rise above it, and you come out even stronger,” she added.
Lola’s tribute marked a departure from her 2023 birthday post in which she celebrated both Peter and Paul despite the brothers’ troubled history.
This year’s decision to focus solely on Peter has been interpreted by fans as a clear sign that the tensions within the Okoye family remain unresolved.
The split of Psquare one of Africa’s most celebrated music groups remains a hot topic among fans and industry watchers.
Their second and most explosive breakup saw accusations of music theft, with both Peter and Paul trading barbs online.
The incident is the latest in a series of conflicts between the brothers whose long-standing feud led to Psquare’s split years ago.
In August, Paul alleged that Peter petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against him. Peter denied the allegation, saying the petition was against their elder brother Jude Okoye.
