Goodluck Jonathan, Akpabio, Anyim Pius attend night of tributes for Ifeanyi Ubah

Dignitaries on Monday graced the night of tributes held in Abuja in honour of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who represented Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Ubah died at the age of 52 on July 26 in London.

He is to be buried on November 22.

Among attendees at the event were former President Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius and Bukola Saraki, former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha; Senator Solomon Adeola, Senate Majority Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, chairman/chief executive officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema and minister of state for foreign affairs Bianca Ojukwu.

Akpabio shared photos taken at the event on Instagram on Tuesday, describing Ubah as a “political colossus”.

“Yesterday, Monday, November 18, 2024, I led some of my colleagues to the Night of Tributes in loving memory of our colleague, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah; Ebubechukwuzo Worldwide, at the NAF Conference and Suites, Abuja,” he wrote.

“We also had in attendance, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former presidents of the Senate; Anyim Pius Anyim and Bukola Saraki, among numerous others.

“Our departed colleague was a political colossus, who achieved and did a lot for his people and Nigeria, in his short but eventful years on earth.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God grant the wife, children and family members he left behind, the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Amen.”
