Hadiza El-Rufai, wife of the former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai, has tackled her son Bashir El-Rufai for criticising President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Last year, El-Rufai was nominated for a ministerial position. However, the Senate did not give him the clearance he needed.

Bashir, who has been critical of Tinubu’s administration, on Tuesday knocked the president’s spokespersons for attacking former President Olusegun Obasanjo who recently expressed disappointment over Tinubu’s handling of the economy.

“Attacking Obasanjo with the state of the country now has to be a mental illness permeating the whole media comms team. Inflation is at 33% o. Ineffectual clowns,” Bashir wrote on X.

His mum then asked him, “Are you sure you’d be saying this if your father were part of this government?”

Bashir replied, “I believe I would actually. Because I believe he would have resigned by now due to the failures he’d want dissociated with himself, Mama.”

Bashir told a curious X user that his father was “chilling in Egypt”.
