Gospel singer Tope Alabi has landed in Akwa Ibom State to perform at the “Night of Glory and Tributes” event organised in honour of the late Patience Eno, wife of Governor Umo Eno.
Tope announced her arrival on Instagram on Friday, posting a video featuring her and fellow gospel artiste Moses Bliss.
The clip captures the pair at the airport engaging in light-hearted conversation shortly after they arrived in Akwa Ibom.
In her caption Tope wrote, “We are live at Akwa Ibom for the Night of Glory and tributes in honour of Her Excellency Pastor Mrs Patience Umo Eno.”
Other gospel artistes set to perform at the event include Steve Crown, Buchi, Jimmy D Psalmist, Progress Effiong, and Yadah.
The event will take place today at 6 p.m. at the International Worship Centre.
Mrs. Patience Eno passed away on September 26 in a hospital after battling an undisclosed illness.
Earlier this month, secretary to the state government Enobong Uwah announced that her burial would take place on November 29.
The mourning house was officially opened on November 20, marking the beginning of a week-long period of condolence visits.
A service of songs is planned for November 27 at Mrs. Eno’s hometown, Ikot Ekpene Udo, in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
The service will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
