The internet is vile, BBNaija’s Queen Atang laments online trolling

Former Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eyes’ housemate Queen Atang has spoken out against trolling online.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Queen shared a screenshot of a comment criticising her reaction to questions about her marriage and husband.

Reacting in a now-deleted post, Queen expressed her dismay over the hostility she faces online.

She described the internet as a “vile space” and acknowledged that she has read numerous negative things about herself.

Addressing allegations that she shaded a woman named Sophia, Queen denied the claims, insisting that she avoids online drama and focuses on her work.

“On this internet. I’ve read so much about myself. All I can say is this space is vile. I can’t even recall throwing a shade at anyone. I mind my business and hustle. I don’t even defend myself in this space, no matter how bad. I have seen real life from fans on the internet. My DM is filled with amazing and lovely comments from y’all.

“I can’t wait to share them all. And I’ve also read vile comments, and sometimes I do ask myself, Queen, is this you or someone else? God help me. All I’ve always prayed for is to be famous and rich. Fame I’ve, money I’m hustling up to get it. But it may seem as tho the game is landing me in trouble here and there. God help me”.

In October, rumour about Queen’s seven-month marriage being in trouble surfaced online.

The reality TV star had unfollowed her husband, David Oyekanmi on Instagram and deleted all photos of him.

Additionally, she removed his name from her Instagram bio, further fueling the speculation.

Queen and David tied the knot in March with an introduction ceremony in her hometown of Akwa Ibom, attended by fellow BBNaija star Nini Singh.

Shortly afterward, the couple held a civil wedding at the Federal Marriage Registry in Lagos, surrounded by friends, family, and well-wishers.
