Actors Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo and veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani are among notable figures who attended the funeral of Kunle Afolayan’s mother, Omoladun Afolayan in Komu, Oyo State.
The ceremony held on Saturday, commenced with a church service following a wake held the previous evening.
During the wake, Kunle and his brother Aremu Afolayan set aside their longstanding feud, marking a moment of reconciliation.
Videos shared on QEDNG’s Instagram page captured Sola, Aisha Lawal and Kelani participating in the wake and later attending the burial.
Femi Adebayo was also seen warmly greeting Kunle and other family members, exchanging hugs and pleasantries.
Pallbearers danced as they carried the late Omoladun’s white coffin, paying their respects in a final farewell.
Other attendees include Gabriel Afolayan, Moji Afolayan, Adeshina Afolayan, QEDNG publisher Olumide Iyanda and Seun Soyinka.
