Wike has judges in his pocket – VeryDarkMan

Controversial social media personality Martins Otse better known as social media critic VeryDarkMan has leveled serious accusations against the senate president, Nyesom Wike.

In an Instagram post shared on Monday, VeryDarkMan claimed that Wike has undue influence over Nigeria’s judicial system, following a controversial property demolition in the Asokoro area of Abuja.

The demolition reportedly took place on a property located opposite Wike’s residence. In the video shared, VeryDarkMan read an appeal from one of the affected property owners.

According to the media personality, the owner alleged that the land is being taken with the intention of reallocating it, despite ten years of development work.

“This place is said to be opposite Wike’s house, which I find very suspicious. May God not let this evil happen to us; people would rather come to VeryDarkMan than seek justice in court,” he said.

He further accused Wike of manipulating the judiciary, alleging that the minister has secured influence by gifting judges land and properties.

“It is painful to think that no one believes in the justice system in Nigeria anymore because the judiciary has been allegedly bought by the likes of Nyesom Wike and his cahoots. How do you carry out this kind of act without notice? Do you even sit down to think of the security implications? Dear Nyesom Wike, why all this?

Imagine leaving the court to cry on social media while there have been allegations that Wike buys land and properties for judges, so he controls the judiciary. They can’t run to court because nothing will be done as Wike has the judges in his pocket,” he said.

The video featured footage of a building being demolished by heavy machinery, with background voices crying in protest.

Earlier this month, VeryDarkMan spoke out on behalf of over 10,000 people who were allegedly displaced by similar demolitions in Abuja.

Among them were crying children pleading with the FCT minister to halt the destruction that left many homeless. VeryDarkMan appealed to President Bola Tinubu to step in, urging him to restrain Wike and prevent further demolitions.

“Tinubu should call Wike to order and stop him from demolishing people’s homes and reallocating the land to rich people,” VeryDarkMan stated.
