Afrobeats singer Davido has shared a photo of himself wearing a green-and-white clothing item resembling the Nigerian flag on his head following backlash over his remarks about Nigeria’s economy.

Davido took to Instagram on Thursday, posting the image with the caption: “I Dey go do interview nw … fully representing đŸ‡³đŸ‡¬đŸ‡³đŸ‡¬. Say make I kuku put am for head đŸ˜‚.”

The post quickly sparked reactions online.

An X user Abazz wrote, “Anybody wey say he hate Davido for this country dey pretend. Everybody love am dyyyyyeee.”

Davido has been in the spotlight since his appearance on the US podcast The Big Homies House, where he warned Black Americans against relocating to Nigeria, citing economic struggles.
