A French band captivated guests at a state dinner in Paris on Thursday with a lively performance of Nigerian music including P-Square’s hit song ‘Testimony (Taste the Money)’ in honour of President Bola Tinubu.
The event, held at the Palais de l’Élysée, marked the highlight of Tinubu’s three-day state visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and France.
In a video that has since gone viral, the band skillfully infused the Afrobeat classic with a French touch, blending Nigerian rhythms with a unique European flair.
Their performance was met with enthusiastic applause, including from Tinubu and first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu who visibly enjoyed the cultural tribute.
Adding to the evening’s celebration of Nigerian culture, the band also performed ‘Mama Africa’ by Bracket, showcasing the global appeal of Nigerian music and honouring the nation’s vibrant artistic legacy.
