Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday hosted the former governor of Anambra State Peter Obi for breakfast.
This came hours before Mr Obi was expected to deliver the 20th anniversary lecture at the American University of Nigeria (AUN).
“It is breakfast time with my friend, @PeterObi, in the “land of beauty,” Atiku shared a video of both of them together on X.
The keynote speech at the 16th Founder’s Day/20th convocation of the university falls in line with Obi’s public speeches in notable educational institutions globally, including Harvard University, Yale University, Wharton University, Pennsylvania, USA, and Peace University all this year.
Obi joins the list of global personalities who have delivered the AUN Founder’s Day lecture which includes Dr. Paul Vita (2019), Professor Ibrahim Gambari (2009), Bishop Mathew Kukah (2011), former Ugandan Vice President Dr. Gilbert Bukenya (2013), Professor Charles Soludo (2012), Tulane University Professor Dr. William Bertrand (2014), and president emeritus of Iowa Wesleyan, University, Professor Steven Titus (2023).
In 2019, Atiku was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party while Obi was his running mate.
However, both men contested the presidential election last year at different parties.
