Actress Mide Martins has publicly expressed her gratitude to her husband Afeez Owo by kneeling during her acceptance speech at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) Awards, thanking him for his unwavering support.
The event held in Abeokuta on Sunday, saw Mide winning the Best Actress of the Year award
Reflecting on her journey, Mide admitted it has been far from easy.
She thanked God for granting her the strength and ability to navigate challenging times, particularly since the loss of her mother.
The actress also expressed heartfelt gratitude to her husband, kneeling as she described him as her greatest support system.
“Without him, there is no me,” she said, acknowledging his unwavering presence and encouragement.
“I want to say a big thank you to God Almighty. The journey hasn’t been easy at all. I thank God for giving me the strength to do all that I do every time.
“I also want to thank my husband, my PR. He has always been there for me since I lost my mother, and he always will be,” she said.
The award ceremony was attended by notable Nollywood figures, including Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Balogun, Yemi Solade and Ibrahim Chatta.
