Controversial social media critic Martins Ortse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has shared an update regarding the rearrest of rapper Speed Darlington.
In a video posted on Instagram late Saturday, VeryDarkMan praised Burna Boy, claiming that the Grammy-winning singer had withdrawn criminal charges against Speed Darlington in the defamation case.
VeryDarkMan further alleged that Speed Darlington is expected to be released on Monday.
He recalled that the rapper’s troubles began after comments he made about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and alleged ties to American rapper Diddy Combs.
“Shoutout to Burna Boy, for what you did. You’ve earned my respect. Hopefully, Speed Darlington will be out on Monday,” he said.
On November 29, Deji Adeyanju, the lawyer representing Speed Darlington, revealed that his client had been transferred from Owerri to Abuja after the police apprehended him upon his return to Nigeria for a show.
Adeyanju also alleged that Burna Boy, famous for his hit song ‘Ye,’ was behind the rapper’s arrest.
